"canada sea to sea"
A New Song to Celebrate our Nation!
Written & composed by Louise Ford & Rick Hodgson
Lyrics
Oh Canada from sea to sea, From coast to coast we stand so free, Our faith our love and charity, United by diversity
Such beauty in our wonderous home, Through nature's bounty we may roam, We welcome all from many lands, Together we will stand
With pride and honour we respect, All cultures, creeds and dialects, Our steadfast mission to provide, A strong safe land nationwide
With dignity and honesty, We have the right to all be free, Uniting our humanity, We stand on guard for thee
INSTRUMENTAL
We will continue to reside, In our cities, towns and country-sides Defending all our rights to be, United in strength and harmony
Truth, justice and equality, Our nation stands for you and me, O Canada, our gracious home, United hand in hand
From north to south, from sea to sea, From east to west we stand so free, Our strength, our home and family, We stand on guard for thee
This photo was taken by Louise's brother, Peter Beninger. Peter was an award-winning photographer in Ottawa. In 2015, he sought to reproduce the iconic Malak Karsh photo of Parliament Hill (1954) that graced the verso side of the Canadian dollar bill. This 2015 photo is the result of that effort
The original "MAPLE LEAF FOREVER" (credit to Raeden Trost for contributing this idea for the bridge in our song).
