Rick is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, producer, recording & mix engineer and has been a performing musician for most of his life. He has performed on “both sides of the glass”, bringing experience, guidance and understanding to the performer in the studio. 

Throughout Rick’s career, he has been committed to delivering exceptional sound, whether in the studio or behind the mixing console. With extensive experience within the music, sound recording, film & TV and live sound production industries, Rick has earned a reputation for creativity, technical precision, and professionalism. 

Rick has worked with a wide range of clients, bringing expertise in both analog and digital recording techniques to every project. 

Rick’s formal education began with a technician diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from Radio College Canada (RCC), followed by attending the Recording Arts Program of Canada. Rick attended Loyalist College, where he upgraded to an Electronic Engineering Technologist and received his Business Accounting Diploma. Rick has been  a professor/educator teaching audio at Loyalist College in Belleville and has been for the past ten years.

"songwriter's songwriter" has spanned over 45 years. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he is celebrated for

 his ability to craft narratives that bridge the gap between country, folk, & roots music.     

Zeke Mazurek - Fiddle. A first-call musician for many of Canada’s most influential folk & country artists.

• Studio Work: He spent significant time recording at Starlink Sound in Brighton.

• Solo Project: He released his own album, I Ain't Dead... Yet (1995), which was recorded at Starlink 
• Production: He also worked as a producer, helming projects such as the Jim Magill tribute recordings.

Danny Greenspoon - Danny Greenspoon is a cornerstone of the Canadian music industry, known for his 

versatility as a Juno-winning producer, an engineer, and a highly sought-after guitarist. Since the late 1970s, he has been a key figure                                                                                                           in capturing the sound of Canadian folk, jazz, and roots music.

Nick Blagona – Nick Blagona (1945–2020) was a legendary figure in the recording world, often referred to as

 the "Tone Guru." His career spanned over five decades, during which he helped define the sound of some of the most iconic rock and jazz records in history.                                                           (Deep Purple, Nazareth, April Wine etc.) He hired me to do some guitar tracking for a band that he was working with.

Steve Piticco - is a world-class Canadian guitarist widely revered as the “Telecaster Master.” 

Based in Brighton, Ontario, he has spent over 45 years as a premier session musician and performer, becoming a benchmark for country guitar virtuosity internationally. 

Mike Francis  - Mike Francis is widely regarded as one of the most versatile and technical proficient

guitarists in Canada. His career is characterized by an "invisible hand" quality—you have likely heard his playing on thousands of recordings, even if you didn't know his name.

Al Brisco - is a renowned Canadian pedal steel guitarist, educator, and entrepreneur, widely     

regarded as the “Ambassador of the Steel Guitar” in Canada. Based in Colborne, Ontario, his career spans over six decades,                                                                                                                   during which he has become one of the most respected figures in the international steel guitar community.

Don Reed - is a heavyweight in the Canadian music scene, widely recognized as one of the most  decorated      

 and technically proficient fiddle players in North America.

Matt Andersen - is a powerhouse Canadian blues and soulful roots musician, celebrated for his "heart-quaking" voice and commanding acoustic guitar work. 

Originally from Perth-Andover New Brunswick, he has become an international fixture in the blues and roots scene through relentless touring and a series of award-winning albums.

Brian Barlow - a prominent Canadian musician, arranger, and producer who has been a pillar of the Toronto and Ontario music scenes for decades. Known for his versatility and technical precision, he is one of the most recorded musicians in Canada, having contributed to over 400 recordings.

John Irvine - John Charles Irvine (January 23, 1938 – August 12, 2003) was a prominent Canadian record producer, executive, and label owner based in Toronto. His label helped circulate the definitive, late-career archival performances of a foundational Delta/Piedmont blues master, Mississippi John Hurt to Canadian audiences. The connection between John Irvine's Rebel Records and the legendary Piedmont blues artist, centers around the album Volume One of a Legacy (Catalog No. CLPS 1068). I had the opportunity to restore the original master tapes and transfer them to a digital archive for future releases in the late 1990’s.

David R. Maracle - Trad. Mohawk name: Tehanenia'kwé:tarons  - Is a prominent Haudenosaunee artist, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, & Indigenous Knowledge Keeper. We recently finished up a new project that David has been woking on.
